June Reading Wrap Up

Some reading months are packed with fivestar books and marathon reading sessions.

Others are simply a reflection of real life.

June was a little slower on the reading front, but full in all the best ways. Between time with friends and family, vacation, and a few projects around the house, I didn't read quite as much as I usually do and I'm perfectly okay with that.

One of the things I've learned over the years is that reading doesn't have to be measured by the number of books you finish. Some seasons are meant for lingering over a great story, while others are meant for making memories away from the page. This month reminded me that both are worth celebrating.

Even with a lighter reading month, I discovered a few books that I'll be recommending for a long time.

The Calamity Club was my favorite book of the month, with Westerly and Saoirse close behind. Each offered something different, but all three reminded me why I love reading widely and why I never want to limit myself to a single genre.

Looking back, June felt like a month of balance. There was time spent reading, but there was also time spent traveling, being with the people I love, and enjoying the slower pace that summer naturally brings. Those experiences have a way of finding their way back into the books we choose and the stories that stay with us.

I'm especially excited for what's ahead.

Here's to a summer filled with good books, meaningful conversations, and stories worth sharing.

Until next time, happy reading.
